Adrenaline

A Story by Siren

a fifty-five fiction

It's pumping through your veins at full speed.  Your heart is pounding.  Your mind is racing.  Your palms are sweating.  Your mouth is dry.  You think you just might die.  Every muscle tenses; you're ready to run.  You close your eyes.  You try to breathe.  It catches in your throat.  You just might die.

You've got more balls than me when it comes to limiting yourself on words. This is an interesting piece. The sentences read fast because of their length and it does give that feeling of rush. The last sentence feels like the point of realization that the adrenaline high has ceased because of its shortened repetition. At least from my perspective, a good example of an unorthodox style.
