Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten

A Chapter by Siren

We’re not like other

families.

I’m sure

you’ve figured that

out by now.

We’re a bit

dysfunctional,

but somehow we

pass off as

normal.

Funny,

huh?

In reality,

it’s a

lonely

life.

Memories

can be

cold

and

harsh.

Dad was great.

He gave us

piggyback rides

and

took us out

for ice cream.

He was the best,

you

know.

I take a moment

here to

pop

a few

pills.

It’s hard to

talk about him

without doing

it.

I don’t

cry

about it.

I just take a

minute,

swallow a few

pills.

and I

remember.

We all have

our own ways

of grieving,

right?
