ShiverA Poem by Siren
Your breath slinks around my neck
Not putting your pounding your heart in check. My blood freezes as cold as ice As you look into my eyes. You whisper words into my ear Words I barely manage to hear. The edge of my vision starts turning black I know from here there's no turning back. Down I go, into your arms Safe from danger but not from harm. I'm out then, out like a stone Hands like ice chill me to the bone. You touch my face and touch my hair I feel you but can't hear you there. I call to you and try to scream Because it's bursting at its seems. This slow sensuous seduction A love symphony by your conduction Is sweet and sharp and like bloods taste Building in a gentle haste. Like two stars we collapse and burst Coming in to our love's first Full flowering free-fall field Letting the fire burn and build Until we have nothing left Matching each other breath for breath. Suddenly I can see you again And looking at your face's grin I feel my own surprise And see the mischief in your eyes. I wonder at what we have done How our hearts have become one Like lovers in the days of ol' I shiver fiercely at my thought-- I've found the love I've always sought.
