Chapter Six

Chapter Six

A Chapter by Siren

I tried pills one night

when I couldn’t

sleep.

It felt good

to be

so

close to

comatose.

Of course,

I slept for a good

twenty

hours.

I

was

completely

out.

It was

marvelous

to

be

so

free…

I woke up

to my brother

pounding

on

my

door.

I’ve never

seen him so

scared.

Mom was

out

at the store,

and left him

to take care of

me.

He’d thought

I’d

died.

I shouted

at him to

stop

after swimming out

of the fog

I awoke

in.

It was the last

time

I was

allowed

to sleep in

my

own

room

for a while.
