Bones

Bones

A Poem by Siren
"

a take on skeletons in closets

"
There are bones in
my house.
They are still, hidden
and alone.

Everyone has bones
hiding in their
homes.
Not just me.

People think hiding
will make them
free.

Really, the opposite
is true---
keep your bones,
or they'll keep
you.

yes, i have thoughts....i love this piece.

and i have always thought it is better to just admit and let go.

hiding makes things worse...the tales grow taller and more burdensome.

if we can admit faults and realize we are human and are going to have them, we are much better off.

Thank you for your words. They are exactly what I was trying to say.
we truly are (or can be) weighed down by and for ourselves if we are not careful. i think this is quite possibly my favorite of yours i have ever read, to date. this is terrific! definitely going into my faves....
