A Poem by Siren

Light me a candle--
would you my dear?
I need to find
my way back from here.

I've lost my way--
I've gotten far off track
So light me a candle
for me to come back.

Can you show me the path
to that humble abode
Can you bring me in
out from the cold?

I long for the warmth
the soft glowing fire
Instead of all the
mud, muck, and mire.

So light me a candle--
please do, my dear.
I long to come back,
For tis horrid out here,

Love the poem. I hear Breaking Benjamin's Give Me a Sign when I read this. I think pretty good option would be to stick with the first line as the title. "Light Me a Candle" If you don't want to go the simple route and prefer something more poetic, you could choose a literal interpretation of what you were thinking about when you wrote it. The title can sometimes be just as meaningful as the poem itself. Enjoying reading this latest output...
