Valiant

Valiant

A Poem by Siren

a single straight jet-stream streak spears the sky,

piercing the pillowed palpitating heart of a precious cloud.

wings of angels, some winsome, some worried,

soar swiftly away.

afar, a sandy sea-shore need no skeleton of its own,

forming one far superior"

a stately shell-sail surfing to the stars,

a sight equally superb and serene.

and amidst it all,

that bright ball that bears the day battles the very same that it birthed,

receding to resuscitate;

relinquishing to redeem;

resting till it roars once more,

resurrected and red.

meanwhile the cohorts of the canvas convene, collectively clapping:

violet swears solemn salute to crimson courage,

against an ever-shifting cyan-navy swatch, unsheathing sober swords to a legacy of loyalty.

a maiden moon barely emerges among the murky masterpiece,

a memorial made of magic~
