Sorbet

Sorbet

A Poem by Siren

softly textured silk,

sweetly layered

into airy cream.

the light pale fluff,

the stuff of dreams

that engulfs the satisfied mind

at the end of a pleasant day’s rhyme;

the cozy blanket

a snoozer snuggles up in.

there is a blue-raspberry ocean!

let’s swim and dive deep"

there is strawberry-cream and orange-dream coral,

happy-dancing in the reef.

come jump in and take a dive"

explore the sea that’s in the sky!

it’s a dessert absolutely anyone can try.

Author's Note

Siren
When I wrote this, the sky was a subtle reminder form Nature, Gentle Mother that She is, that even when life is raging out of control, peace will soon be found. It simply becomes a matter of waiting.
