A Burden worth BearingA Poem by SirenO, to be free from this burden I bear! What would I give?
What would I trade? Yet it is through these times of turmoil The strongest wings are made.
Is there another way to pure the soul, Or brokenness the sole way we’re made whole?
I long to leave these suffocating fears For a new life of glory’s endless years!
O suff’ring be quick"and this torment fast! Make room for wholeness; healing that will last.
Dear soul, take anchor, and hold fast your hope! End not, O soul, your life, your love, your rope.
O yet to carry this burden I bear! What would I give?
What would I trade? Never these times of turmoil by which My strongest wings are made. © 2013 SirenAuthor's Note
