You and I

You and I

A Poem by Denni

"
Whispers of moonlight
shadows hold us close
midnight's chiming
when it passed, we don't know
A drifting melody
it hangs in the air
as a lonely cicada with a symphony
and it doesn't seem to care
and neither do we
because the night's still young,
and, before our throats grow hoarse,
there's a song to be sung
Nothing, nothing left,
we'd find,
but there's still you and I,
you and I, and the night's young, and I don't mind

There's some really powerful imagery in this. Keep up the good work!
