Tell MeA Poem by DenniThis also doubles as a song. 14th of March, 2013
Tell me, darling, have you ever called
a name into the dark of night? Tell me, dear, do you really know the pain? Tell me, love, have you ever comforted the sky when she cried? If not, then good day, goodbye because her thousand shades of blue will lull you to sleep soon. A lonely song for unexcused wrongs fails to impress me. Unfortunately, I can't help but sing along. Tell me, darling, have you ever sung a song that makes each teardrop note a waterfall? Tell me, dear, do you really know the pain? Tell me, love, have you ever comforted the sky when she cried? If not, then good night, goodbye because she dims her abyss for you to brighten the glow of our moon. A lonely song about how the night's too long- how many times I've heard, I've lost count, but I'll keep on singing along. Too bad, so sad, another lost opportunity. What a silly thing to think that it's only one's hindrance to be one with a soulful song that pierces you through the heart. "Sorry for being me." Is that what you'd like us to say? I'm more sorry for you, honey, because you fail to see the beauty. So tell me, darling, do you remember every aspect of every happiness you never felt? Tell me, dear, do you have that pain? Tell me, love, have you ever comforted the sky when she cried? If not, then goodbye, goodbye because her love's the sweetest I've known, though her strange, fluffy friends bear impending doom. So do tell me, darling, do you ever just feel lonely? Tell me, dear, am I even sane? Will you tell me, love, that it's a silly notion despite my not having a lucid grain? If so, I'm flattered you'd lie but don't you say goodbye so easily. Sorry that all I do is cry.
