Trials of the Mind Pt.2 (Action)A Poem by Justin DPart two of the three part seriesI sit in the water waiting. Waves cant find the shore. Not a lake of water, But an ocean of sin. I ready myself for punishment. Not of my own actions. Or of my own inactions. But to take pain from others. For they do not contemplate reality, Their afflictions go unnoticed, For whenever they sink under, There are those who sacrifice peace. I see their laughter, their smiles, Their hopes and dreams. Mine, crumbled into dust, Scattered, upon the water. I see them submerging, Hope follows soon, Drowning myself in sin, Keeping others afloat. This is to remember, For every one that sinks, Five, kept alive. Heavily outnumbered, hopeless. Maybe through time, Motives altered, progression. For now I will wait, At the bottom of the sea. © 2009 Justin DReviews
