Friend, when you have something important to discuss with a person, do you present the matter to them while they are playing a video game? The answer is of course not! You need to present the matter to them in an environment, where there are no distractions.
Could this pandemic be God’s way to remove all the distractions in people’s lives, to discuss an important matter with them? So He can have people’s undivided attention.
What could God’s massage be, that He would allow a plaque to bring the civilize world to its knees?
First, would be that mankind needs to repent from dethroning God, as authority in the earth.
God has created the institutions of marriage, family, and government.
Mankind has perverted these institutions, and also has tried to eliminate them all together.
The wicked people of power and position, are talking about ushering a new one world government, and eliminating the family unit, and privet property ownership, and inforce communal living.
All in the name of combating this pandemic.
God’s could be warning us that the last seven years of man’s history on the know earth is quickly approaching.
God’s warning could also be that the hour of salvation and repentance of one soul is now, for none of us are promise a tomorrow.
God could also be warning people that the hour of Jesus Christ, coming to take His children out of the world, be taken to heaven, so that the devil may send His anti-Christ to take authority over the governments and religions of the world and submit them to His rule.
He will force all mankind to make allegiance with Him, and be His foot soldier again the true God.
Any resistance will be met with the penalty of death. All who will align themselves with the Anti-Christ will be thrown into the lake of fire with him, when Jesus comes back to the earth a second time to set up His one thousand year reign.

Another reason God allow disaster, is liken to a doctor who removes a cancerous part of the body to prevent the decease from spreading to other part of the body, and prevent death.
I believe that mankind’s spiritual cancer is his sin nature. Throughout the history of man, his soul wander from God, and the cancer of sin take offer his whole being to the point nothing good dwells in them. Noah's Flood in Genesis 6:9-9:17 New American Standard Bible (NASB) is the first biblical record of sin taking over the whole human race to the point it effected every part of his being.

9 These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, [a]blameless in his [b]time; Noah walked with God. 10 Noah [c]became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

The Flood
7 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this [j]time. 2 You shall take [k]with you of every clean animal [l]by sevens, a male and his female; and of the animals that are not clean two, a male and his female; 3 also of the birds of the [m]sky, [n]by sevens, male and female, to keep [o]offspring alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.” 5 Noah did according to all that the Lord had commanded him.

6 Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water [p]came upon the earth. 7 Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood. 8 Of clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and everything that creeps on the ground, 9 there went into the ark to Noah [q]by twos, male and female, as God had commanded Noah. 10 It came about after the seven days, that the water of the flood [r]came upon the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the [s]floodgates of the sky were opened. 12 The rain [t]fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

God has to thin the Herd.
Definition of thin the herd: In the original sense, it means to reduce the size of one's livestock by removing the (genetically) weaker animals from the group.
When God thins the herd, it is to prevent total depravity from mankind in researching the black plaque, I found out the pandemic took place during a time of prosperity and population explosions.
It seem to be a recurring trait about mankind, when he is prospering, he forget who gave him the increases.
Here is a Bible that support this observation. I might add that I pray this verse often for myself.
Proverbs 30:7-9 "I ask two things from you, Lord. Don't refuse me before I die. 8 Keep me from lying and being dishonest. And don't make me either rich or poor; just give me enough food for each day. 9 If I have too much, I might reject you and say, 'I don't know the Lord.' If I am poor, I might steal and disgrace the name of my God.
When man move away from God, He no long practice the ways of God. He no longer see his fellow man as created in the image of God. He no longer obey God’s fist commandment. To love God will you being, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Man that turn from God, turn into an animal that has rabies. Without God intervening throughout history, Man’s unchecked sin nature would have cause their own extinction.
God intervene in man’s affairs, so that His salvation plan, will reach every soul, that those who are willing to receive a place on the life raft can get to safety, and those who want to go down to the bottom of the ocean, have that choice.
My conclusion:

I believe God is in control over all that take place in the physical and spiritual planes. I believe the disasters that have plaque this planet throughout history, began in the Garden of Eden, when man first committed the first act of disobedience against God.
The result of their rebellion, God’s creation which was made without blemish, now was under the power of Death and decay. Notice before the fall of man, they live in the garden naked, just like the rest of the creature God made. Could the reason why man became ashamed of his physical body, after his fall, be that his body which once was immortal, indestructible, now began to die? Now they’re bodies would be subjected to harm by a plaque world?
They could not hide their act of disobedience from God. Thou their soul are immortal, their bodies became mortal. God told Adam and eve what would happen if they ate from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God could have destroyed them right there and then, but He had compassion on they and came up with a salvation plane.
My friend this virus will not wipe mankind of the face of the earth. Doctor will not come up with a medical cure out of their cleverness. But God will give them the answer, to bring this pandemic to an end, when His purpose has been achieved.
So Friend repentance begins in our own heart. Stop living in rebellion to God. Stop sitting on His throne in your heart. If you haven’t given your life to Christ, do it right now.
If you are a Christian give up your pet sins, and give him rein in your life. Pray for God’s healing in the world, and pray for our leaders.
Being a Christian does not mean we will not be touched by the disaster that take place in this world, but we know we have overcome our biggest enemy and that is eternal separation from God, for being uncleaned from the stain of sin on our soul.
When God is finished judging Evil, we will dwell on a new Earth with Him, We will be made immortal both body and soul.
