Growing In The DesertA Poem by Stephen J. VattimoA poem about a desert place being God's boot camp for his servantsJehovah-Jireh “The LORD Will Provide” Amen ! For a servant of The Lord to grow The Lord has to send them on a journey along a desolate desert road Tho the desert is like a snow white blank canvas No terrain feature to navigate by Have no fear During the dark cold night God will warm you God will light you your path By his pillar of fire Have no fear During the fiery furness heat of the day God will cool you When you eyes are blinded by the reflect of the sun off the sand God will direct you by a covering cloud in the sky Jehovah-Jireh “The LORD Will Provide” Amen ! Tho the desert is like empty cupboard Void of substance to sustain life Have no fear God will fill your hunger by delivering daily bread with the morning dew God will quench your thirst by turn a dry hard rock into a water fountain Jehovah-Jireh “The LORD Will Provide” Amen ! The desert road is a solitary journey the silence of friendly familiar voice is deafening The roar of the enemy Ever loud and threatening Have no fear The Lord never slumber or sleeps He keeps a protective watch over His sheep He doesn't not run to escape the harm of a poacher or wild beast, He stand boldly to defend his sheep Jehovah-Jireh “The LORD Will Provide” Amen ! For a servant of The Lord to grow The Lord has to send them on a journey along a desolate desert road Written by Stephen J. Vattimo July 15,2017
