Still Here

Still Here

This world we live in
Can be quite dark and scary
I have seen some of the darker parts
Which are then reflected in my arts
I look for ways I can escape
For no strings attached happiness
Though every time I become near
The world reveals my fear
Yet I am still here
I lived through it all
And while I do not stand tall
I do refuse to fall
I have worked hard to become a person who I did not hate
So that I'm not just second rate
We all have a story
And mine just happens to be a bit gory
I've seen a lot of the color red
But I've also seen my fair share of purple, yellow, and blue too
I've watched my own tears spill on the pages
As I write something that might last through the ages
Feeling alone and apart from the rest,
My friends were then put to the test
They have been my shoulders to cry on,
The ones I hugged and never wanted to let go
Though they are few,
I know my triforce is true
So even if you may not always see a smile
It may even be for a long while
Just remember that I am still here
Even after all those crazy years
So I have lived
So I will continue living
Because I am still here
And there's no getting rid of me
