Beautiful StrangerA Poem by RonaldoSometimes life smiles on usBeautiful Stranger O beautiful stranger Curious blue eyes shining bright O my Madonna, fated Delilah Softly beset upon my moated distance. While I, in exile, lie away. Away in original abjection, Away in a lonesome walk, A trapped cold little heart wrapped in a hopeless embrace
O night! Would I lie in your arms. Whither into sobering absence Away from her beautiful, Away from her blue, Away from her nightly visitors that linger round and around my dark. Each night taking their turn, Each night a faint knock delivered placed gently upon my heart.
O I've seen too much my love. Don't call back the dark The light is flushed from my eyes. Don't call back the night. My once prized morning dove is gone of day, is robbed of flight.
But how you'd come to find me How you'd hear this silent voice bound in walls, hard edged, and stone. You'd wrap me in swirls of warmth. Held me in secret, with velvet curves that bend without end. "O love, rid this body of its cold, and tend to mine, Yours to mend and hold" © 2019 Ronaldo |
