DevoidA Poem by Liz Gonzales Aguilar
Fallen or deflated
metaphors do not describe the sense of helplessness she feels when she thinks about them. It's crumbling like a house of cards. It's falling at the speed of a punctured balloon. And while in the future she might find someone who will reintroduce her to that feeling which he so effortlessly brought and kept She knew there are names and faces that change everything like cyclones in a field, that leaves us with scars, beautiful, memorable. And we are never the same since. © 2012 Liz Gonzales AguilarFeatured Review
