My Messy Room

My Messy Room

A Poem by LadyShennel

My room is messy that’s fine with me

No time to clean no one will see

Clothes and shoes all over the floor

Just excuse the mess and close my door

Mama is yelling clean up that room

Pick up those clothes and use the broom

Just a little here and there

Clothes on the floor everywhere

Organizing stuff in my head

I’ll push everything under my bed

Now the smell what can I use

I better spray in all my shoes

Mama’s coming let me get through

Mama’s looking in at the view

You call this clean mama yelled

The stink is strong can you tell

How can you sleep in all this junk

Your room smells worser than a skunk

Clean up this room and make it shine

Make it quick there’s not much time

When I come back I need to see

Your room sparkling and very clean

No more playtime games and fun

Until your room is clean and done

Ha! This is so true! A messy home is lived-in, that's for sure! Fun rhythm to this poem. :)
