A True Mother’s Journey

This poem is based on the struggles I faced for one of my children who was being bullied at school by some of his teachers

We are chosen with a passion

A gift given from God above

To mother chosen vessels

To love them with God’s love

Such a great gift that is given

 Many seems to walk away

Because with this gift comes raging storms

And dark paths along the way

A gift filled with great rewards

One must be willing to pay the cost

Pieces of our heart and strength we must give

A journey many have given up and lost

This gift is God’s most precious creation

We must handle it with great care

Because God’s protection surrounds it daily

Its hardships and storms we must bare

The best way to handle God’s special gift

Is to call out to him and pray

For his guidance, grace, mercy, and strength

To cradle our heart with his love each day

In times of hardship and raging storms

A mother’s true heart will be reveal

Because when challenges grow and our hearts pains

A real mother’s heart will always stand still
