Dear MomA Poem by superficialtalkA poem to my mother, who has always supported me no matter how hard times were.Dear mom, I just wanted to say How much I love you, Though I try to express it every day. You are the woman who raised me. You sacrificed yourself Just to see who I may grow to be. You were my mother and my father, Going to every game, every concert, Always claiming it wasn't a bother. You watched me grow From a young child to a young woman, All the time hiding your sorrow. Dear mom, I know that we have fought, But know that I am sorry And that I never forgot How I have caused so much stress. But no other person could've handled it, And I know I am blessed. I know what you've done for me, You were always on the front line, Standing steadfast like a tree. To me your are a soldier. A woman worthy of all the awards awards and honors, But you've always held your composure. Dear mom, We've been through a hell of a lot And I know you've had a rough time, But you've given it all you've got. And I think that sometimes you forget, You've raised three kids whose definition of beauty Begins with the word 'mom', and yet You don't see yourself as that, As the most important person That any of us has ever looked at. Dear mom, I love you more than anything, More than flowers that grow, or the sun, More than Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring.
