Mr. Big Bad Wolf

Mr. Big Bad Wolf

A Poem by SuperChick62
"

Sometimes it's all in the answer

"

[aww-ooooooooooo]

What's that you see walkin' in these woods?

Yes, it is Little Red Riding Hood!

Heya, there, Mr. Big Bad Wolf
I been here long enough
You’re all little red riding hood could want!

Listen to me

I know, Big, Bad wolf
You don't think little big girls should
Go walkin' in these spooky ol' woods alone.

[aww-ooooooooooo]

What a big wolf you are,
To make this little girl feel so good
So I’ll make you see: I’d like a chase

I been walkin’ out here for quite a ways.
What strong arms you have,
They make me want somethin’ “bad”
So until we get to Grandma's place,
I think we ought to walk awhile, and say!

You take that sheep suit off!
I know you got somethin’ to show
So, why don’t you come walking with me alone?

[aww-oooohhhhh]

Hey, Mr. Big, Bad Wolf
I'd like to hold you if I could,
But you don’t think I like big, bad wolves, so I won’t

[aww-ooooooooooo]

What a big heart you have,
The better to love me with.
Hey, Mr. Big, Bad Wolf!
Yes, bad wolves can be good.
I’ll make you satisfied
with you close by my side!
Maybe you'll see things my way
before we get to Grandma's place.

Hey, Mr. Big, Bad Wolf,
You sure are lookin' good,
You’re everything a little big girl could want!

[aww-ooooooooooo]
Why go baaaaa, baaaaaa? baaaaa.....

Author's Note

SuperChick62
It's a rewrite as a response from Little Red Riding Hood to the Big Bad Wolf.
Read/sung to the song "Little Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs.

even before any of the other reviews...i was singing that song...had the single back in 66 when it came out...sam the sham..ah yes..

what i like about this is the reverse roles...lil red going after the wolf..trying to entice him into her web, or bed...and maybe she is the dangerous one of the two..

i like the way you took the song and redid it with your own poetical slant.

lots of fun..but with something between the lines.

I like the take on this...seems you've weave this a bit different and then add a bit of a translation in the Author's Note...I could see this in a different light read/sung like you say...

Not really a translation. It's a lyrical response to Sam the Sham and the Pharaoh's song, Little Red.. read more

I remember the song by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs. Good paraphrasing of the original lyrics. Lydi

A lot of women prefer their men to be "Big Bad Wolves" rather than little lambs and the Miss Riding Hood in your poem appears to be one of them. I haven't quite figured out if he's really a wolf or a lamb, but either way she really won't end up very happy. A wolf will eat her right up and a lamb will bore her to death. So she'd really be better of walking to Grandma's on her own. Thanks for this poem - it made me smile and think about a story I hadn't thought of in years.
