Sonnet 4 - WaterA Poem by SuperChick62For my true loveTo view you as though a river flowing A tinkling creek singing its pure call So true, it cleanses all impurities Oh those who bathe in its watery falls But so much more, you are the lands around Quenching the thirst of a drought too long felt You are the rain that soaked the dried out grounds Relieving the cough from a weary soul’s throat It seem to over flow, drowning the place Too long away, there is naught but water Time trying to fade out your loving grace Despite how we long to be together But, Time shall never pull quite hard enough For through all of this, we are still in love© 2013 SuperChick62Featured Review
