Voice

Voice

A Poem by SuperChick62

Hello

It’s good to hear your voice again

I missed you

Did you miss me, too?

It’s been so long

I don’t know what to do next

I want to cry when I wake up in the morning

I want to know what to do next

I want to know

Hello, have you heard this song before?

Of course you have, it’s a classic

Good Morning Beautiful?

What a cheesy song

I’ll talk to you later

Good evening again my dearest,

You’ll be home soon, I cannot wait

Merry Christmas, see the snow?

Good Morning Beautiful

Definitely a good poem here. This really speaks of a strong connection even through a separation. I know how this feels, entirely too well. Having to keep one of us at home means that my wife and I have to travel separately to visit friends and family, and I always feel a bit lost without my partner. I don't think it could have been described better. Thanks for the RR, SuperChick62! I really enjoyed this one.

The song touched my heart.
I understand that you had a divine relationship.

I remember that Christmas. when we awoke in the morning it snowed. The trees heavy with it. And I kissed you as you looked out the window taking it all in. And I have kissed you every morning since.

And may you do so every morning and afternoon and evening and night forever more.
I'm not really sure about what to feel right now, but it seems like this piece reminds me of someone. Anyway, this writing is clear and simple. Not wordy yet it speaks a deep emotion. Perfect. Just what I want to read. I hope to read more of your writings like this.

Filled with longing... Straightforward. This echoes my own sentiments to the one I miss the most. :)

pour it out SC...visions erupting into reality
poignant, sincere and heartfelt...from beginning to end
your writes seem to take on that lyrical and rhythmic flow...I do enjoy them so...
parting is so very hard to do...we try to see all the positives but are realistic and pragmatic enough to know that it's time to turn the page....
A very thoughtful, honest write Super.
Much enjoyed

While reading I pictured 2 people who haven't seen each other in a long time. The spent the night together. Not sure what they will do next. One person leaves while the others stays to wonder if he/she will come back. Apparently the person returns and everything great since the poem ends "Merry Christmas...Good Morning Beautiful.

They had to separate but stayed together. Thanks for the comment. :)
A well constructed monologue depicted in a poem. From morning to morning, forming a circle of thoughts.....I liked the way, you planned the emotions. You could frame a stage in my mind where a woman is waiting for someone special on a Christmas eve. Thanks a lot for sharing this poem...

Exactly. That's the image I had when I wrote this poem. Got it spot on.
I really like this poem. It has so many emotions all in a short poem. While reading this I couldn't help but think of my own personal experiences in relationships. That feeling of missing someone and wondering if they missed you as well.

There was a part of your poem that really stood out to me...
"It’s been so long
I don’t know what to do next
I want to cry when I wake up in the morning
I want to know what to do next
I want to know"
I am not exactly sure what you were thinking when you wrote this. But when I read it I thought of an experience I had with my now ex-boyfriend. I didn't know what to do and that was all I wanted to know...what to do next...

A job well done on this poem! :) I hope to read more in the future :)
