What I Want to Say

What I Want to Say

A Poem by Grace Lea
"

This is what I want to say to my future husband someday, whoever he may be

"

I know you've been searching

And now I'm happy to say

You can stop and smile,

I'm here to stay

Everything you've dreamed of

Here I am, and I will be

I'll be the final girl

To write your love story

I'll make your rainy sky blue

and if you wanna dance in the rain

I can do that too

Yeah, anything you need, I can be

Just wait and see

And when I walk down the aisle

I hope I won't cry

I know at that moment in time

I'll feel like I can fly

I can see you smiling,

Waiting to take my hand

I'll be your bride,

Walk with you as He planned

I have never had true love, so I don't really know if I can write a song about it, or finish it completely yet.

This is a poem that reminds me of classic poetry, yet it is filled with a contemporary voice, fresh in reminding readers of the days of yore,
"something borrowed, something blue..."
When I remarry my husband, to feel the greatness of reinstating wedding vows,
I hope I can write a poem like this to him,
and borrow his eyes,
to see the world in the likes of the way he does and the way you do.

It is a perfect promise, and I hope not to be confused.

Thank you for sharing.

Sweetly innocent; divinely sincere.

What a precious poem.

Nicely done...

As you said, a work in progress, but so far it's really good. :)

I think if you edit it a little, like you also said, it'll be amazing!

I say this because I've read your other stuff. =D

nah, you dont need love to write about it.
enough people write about it these days to make you hate it without having it.

So here I am, and I'll be
Everything you've dreamed of,
and more
You have no idea how long I've wanted
a man exactly like you

this doesnt flow at all.
