that fresh feeling

from

years of obsession

years of passion

all dried up..

i washed it 

away in the shower

last night. 

the rest 

burned it yesterday

in the barbecue pot 

backyard.

that 

minty 

fresh

feeling?

can't be beat by a dentist.

can't be beat by a white canvas.

"i've started new,"

i'd tell them.

"won't look back,"

i'd laugh. 

and it would make me happy 

because babies 

are new 

and they are happy.
