Dear God ,leave the light on for me,the suicide patient in ward 313.
Light fades grey,
Falls forlornly expectant on my hospital tray.
Shadows skip, to and fro
To and fro.
Gather in momentum,
Frequent my religion.
Sweat stained sheets stick
Second skin so sweet.
Soaked with my sobriety.
Pulls at my notoriety.
Numb the flow,
Stems my needs,
Bolster me courageously from morbidity.
Slivers shiver,
Rivers of abuse .
Terrain of my brain,
Candystripers, care in vain.
Stares at scars,
Blistered with pain.
Silken headed stallions of my thoughts,
Fettered at somber stables side.
Coarsely neighing at the winds
Of my bleeding wounded pride.
Herds of endlessness.
Motion driven recklessness.
Chauffer driven fecklessness,
To goodwill fortunes blanketed.
Yet Hark, I hear an angel cry,
My bedside mornings heave a sigh.
Of light and air, a voice so clear;
An unexpected treasure yields,
An unexpected right.
To pull you forth from darkness,
To bring you home tonight.

Painted me into the room, i saw it like a movie
and felt the depths of pain here
