The SensesA Poem by Sunayana NairIt metaphorically, figuratively analyses the influence of 5 senses on aspects as personality, will, mind, subconcious and life/death. Depicted through 5 different situations though not confined to itShe knew she should not have, She thought she couldn't have, He believed he knew what he SAW, his mind carefree, trapped within
the contours of reality - until it met an obscure death only to be reborn as predictably; he
was a stranger to himself momentarily. Nevertheless, wise to rejoice life's entrapping
of not knowing. She ought to have HEARD that child He let out a piercing cry, his first BREATH, celebratory,
regardless of its ire. He had survived. She let out a silent gasp, her
last breath, most definitive, in spite of its will to purport. She had lived. © 2014 Sunayana Nair |
