life is a precious thing, and you only have one shot at it. So make it count.

Human…

Being human  

Is to see through the lies

To read what can never be written

To taste the bittersweet ending

When all hope is lost

 

To face the pain of one’s past

And turn it into a future

To let what is

And what will never be

Cloud your judgment

 

To be human is

To feel the loss

Of mankind

And find the love hidden behind

 

To share secrets

And fight for what is

Truly yours

To unlock the power within your heart

For it alone decides the kind of person

You long to be

 

So when the time comes

And you must face the inevitable

Look back with no regrets

And reminisce on all

Those adventures of highs and lows

Do not stop

Until you know in your heart

The end is near

And when you march

Through those gates

Glittering in the sun

Cool breeze blowing away your worries

Hold your head up high

Proud and honoured

To be called to arms

 

For you are, and always will be

Human

A very strong poem! This poem gets very deep to the subject ' HUMAN', and i feel like knowing the meaning of human after reading it :) Also, I think we all fight for being real humans, cause today's world lots of people were dead, not a true person, just a servant of something, objects. Keep a human alive in us!

I think that it is time for us all to step up and be human, to take off the blinders and see through the lies, feel the pain and losses, to stop being desensitized, to act, to fight if necessary, for all of our rights. The world seems to be getting crazier and crazier at an ever increasing rate, so many of us are already efffected by the poisons, and so many are losing lives to wars and poverty...it is time to unite together and fight back. A great call for action.

i feel that it means that nobody is less human then the next person, this crazy world we live in it hard to keep in mind that we all share something in common we are all human and that alone could bring us together, it makes me sad all these wars we fight that in the long run just are never worth fighting for.

I like it really. The message it carries, a lot of us have forgotten and hence act in a way we ought not to, we are not meant to..You have made valid points about what it takes to be a human, how we have innate abilities to see beyond , to transform bad to good, to console others, to strive for things we believe in, to love , care and face whatever might come with a brave face..It's one of your best poems in my opinion and if u ask me, I think you are getting better.
