I'd Rather You Stay

I'd Rather You Stay

A Poem by elle

like knives stricken through eyes
or arrows punctured through spleens
the pain in our demise
greatly triumphs all those things

trapped like dolls affixed in glass
slowly rotting upon a shelf
id rather wither about the wind
than to watch you love someone else.

wow, i understand this...stay so i can love you even if you no longer love me...i will take what i can get and be satisfied...
living without you is worse than with you, even when it is bad....my first marriage was similar to what is expressed in this poem...not a great place to be.
