Wants

Wants

A Poem by Kristin

I just want to breathe again

A quick breeze of cool air

A summer night under darkened sky

Like love can last and lost can die

A dream on a midnight moon

Rustling leaves to set the mood

Blue eyes that electrify

And a beating heart that will never subside

I just want a smile too last

Like a simple white lie

A daydream lost in the clouds

And no one can say goodbye

Stars that send happiness

Trickle down with the rain

A two o’clock thunderstorm

In the middle of the day

I just want a musical tone forever

A chance to fly

Under the easy twigs of a tree

And a hopeful sigh

Where nighttime is simple

Under her eyes

Youth is so easy

And life flys by

"I just want a smile too last" - should be "to last".
But this is lovely. I love the picture it paints of deep desire and longing. The rhyming is nice, too. Real light, almost whimsical. It was very enjoyable to read.
Nice job. :)
