The Darkness Always ShinesA Poem by Summer WindtonA mystifying poem.
The Darkness Always Shines
The darkness shines bright, Shines brighter than the sun. And when it's over, The yellow day is done. When the world enlightens our hearts and minds, We sometimes start to wonder. When our merry days are over, We shake our heads and ponder. The dark sea, The lenient night. Take and give, Give and take. Precious darkness, To thee, we forsake. Not a tall tale by fishermen merry, Merry by our crazy stories. But with our poems, the man enchanted, So our chant will rise to your glory. The sun is now dark, The darkness now shines. To thee we forshake, For the darkness now shines bright. © 2011 Summer Windton |
