Things That Fall Apart

Things That Fall Apart

A Poem by December Blaize
"

We are fleeting.

"

Brown leaves at winter's door,
Sandcastles on the battered shore,
An old abandoned shed,
Thoughts that never left my head,
Shoes exhausted and worn out,
Faith that once was devout,
An empty box left out in the rain,
The lingering salt of a solemn a tear stain,
A forgotten flower left to die--
As temporary as you and I.

The only thing I could add is my heart as you walked out the door, but maybe that is because my heart is shattered into a million pieces at this very moment.

You did a very nice job on this piece and it is wonderful.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

Short and sweet and beautiful. It may be a tad sad, but it is just a reminder to live and love and cherish the things that will not stay.

Truly marvellous. Anything else I'll say will just not be good enough.
