When I See BlueA Poem by December BlaizeThis one's really just too painful for me to put a description on. I don't know what to say, I think the poem conveys the feelings pretty well... heartbreak, regret, sorrow... the list goes on.
All around me
It surrounds me Swallows me whole Spits me out in pieces Like shards of the sky Swimming in a pretty lie. When I see blue I think of you Your eyes like daggers Stabbing my heart So empty and hollow The blood didn't follow. So many shades My memory fades As I try to recall The exact hue Of your eyes I can't meet My sight incomplete. When I see blue I wonder what I should do Try to forget your lies I'm running from the truth I'll never get over this A color I'll deeply miss. When I see blue I try not to think of you But all I see when I close my eyes Are your icy blues drowning me Blue is pain and sadness Cold rain and bitter madness. I think happiness and regret When I try to forget I think hopeless and angry When I turn away I think love and liars so true When I see blue. © 2012 December Blaize |
