Gravity Is OverratedA Poem by December BlaizeThis is a poem I wrote back in December, about someone who truly cared about me... it took a while for me to realize it, and then I ruined it. But this poem is from better times, much better times.
Nothing's up, it's all down, I said
And spiraling into despair, You're all better off without me, I said, I didn't know how much you care. Believe me when I say that You're the only hope for me, Without you to tell me how much I mean, Know that I'd fall for all eternity. I smile but I still think of the lies And I'm the blame for everything, But I'm learning to believe you when you say You'd die without me, you'll keep me living. The only person I ever hated was myself But in saying you love me, you're making it harder to do 'Cause now I know gravity is overrated, And I sure like it better when I'm falling up with you. © 2012 December Blaize |
