The Words Are All Wrong

the words are all wrong.
               don't tell me that you know.
                               the rhymes are never strong.
            maybe love is letting go.

the story doesn't end.
               i'm dreaming of what i'll never see.
                               every tear is nothing but pretend.
           the words are stuck inside of me.

the songs all have changed.
                i haven't stayed the same.
                                the notes were rearranged.
            maybe we are the missing frame.
