Mini Sporks and the Meaning of Life

Mini Sporks and the Meaning of Life

A Poem by December Blaize

I found the meaning of life in the school cafeteria,
Between the dead bugs and the drama geeks,
Behind the loner and the spastic stoner freaks,
Next to the creep and the kid who always sleeps:
The lunch ladies are a metaphor for Life, they say
"You've got lots of choices: mush or a cookie"

(I'll take the cookie.)

This is the one good stanza from my poem "Sporks"... I made a separate poem out of it because I liked how it sounded by itself but I wanted to keep the original nonsensical one for my own personal reasons.

The choice between mush or a cookie - the choice between living terribly and living with joy. I liked this, and I loved the way you chose what details to put in. Fantastic imagery!! Fantastic writing!!

This is both cute and meaningful. I really like the rhythm and rhyme as well. :D

This brought a smile. =) One stanza... but it says so much about life and throws out hope bubbles that burst on everyone who reads it. Much enjoyed!
