California Is A Dream

California Is A Dream

A Poem by Summer Grace

California in the rain
And California in the sun
Is California just the
Same a beautiful dream

Of palm trees and the
Sea, dreams realized
And those yet to be
Fantasies pave the

Road to California
Hollywood dreams
Dreams of the sea
Dreams of the sun

There you can feel
Like your life has begun
In the morning sun
And even when it rains

And it's gray, it's California
Every day and there's
The dreams come true
On the beach and under

The California hills
California is a daydream
For a winter morning
About how you are

Leaving and never returning
To that winter in that
Place you are far from
Adoring, thinking of

California on a winter
Morning and California
Is a love that never lets
Go, I should know-

I love your poetry!
I live in California, about 1 1/2 hours from the coast. It is very beautiful there and we visit several times a year.
However, I live in the valley; farmland, cows, dirt, more cows. :)
I do love my little town though. It is home.
