July in the Cemetery

July in the Cemetery

A Poem by Summer Grace

uly, in the cemetery
And it's quiet as the
Ivory white tombstones
Are serene in the sunshine

July, in the cemetery
And it's warm in the
Summer sunshine,
The air is full of

Summer quiet, cemetery
Quiet among the
Tombstones and
The statues above

The graves of the long
Dead- on the highway,
Nearby the cars pass by
Going other places out

In the world of the living,
But here, the quiet
Stays and lingers over
The long dead

July, in the cemetery
And the sky is blue
And the grass green
As anywhere else

In the summer season,
And the quiet that lingers
Here is nothing to fear
But something to embrace
In the summer stillness
