California Dreamers

Most people in California are originally from somewhere else..

They come to California
With their dreams from
Other states and other
Places and then this

Place, California 
Becomes home,
Part of their blood
Their life, their own

They don't think
Of the small town
Days,or where they were
Raised, they don't

Think of the place 
That their certificate
Of birth says because
They were reborn 

Here instead, when
They first saw California,
Their home- California
Dreamers, dreaming

In the faraway cities
And faraway small
Towns of the midwest
Of the East Coast 

Dreaming of the best
Coast, of the West 
Coast, until their 
Feet touch the ground
Of California, their home
