The same dream

The same dream

A Poem by Summer Grace

You want to move to Portland
In the rain, I want to move
To San Francisco in the
Sun, but what we both

Want has never changed
We want to chase our
Dreams elsewhere where
We will be happy

Where we won't be lonely
The life of our fantasy
The life that is happy
It's waiting, truly

I feel like a misfit here
You feel like a misfit
There even in Cali
I think it's a paradise

But you don't think it's
As nice as I do dreaming
In the snow of San Francisco
Where you dream in the sun

Of Portland in the rain
I wish I could tell you
That we both would be
Happy, in San Francisco

In the sun but somehow
I can't say it, I can't find
The words across the miles
That separate our dreams
