Life goes on

Life goes on

A Poem by Summer Grace

The sound of the sea
Is soft around the silent
Singing and sighing
Them to sleep

While life goes on
Kites and clouds
Overhead the living
Pursue their dreams

Though nearby are
The dead as the
Sunlight far out on
The sea gleams

And the wind blows
The kite under the sun, and
Above the stones of
A cemetery by the sea

The living stand where
Once the dead used to stand
Long ago on the sand
By the sea in days of

Other possibility yes
Life goes, on the ground
Near the sea, on the sand
By the shore, so many

Things are no more
Just white stones fading
Into days before, and so
Many things have yet
To be, people flying a
Kite by the sea
Inspired by a picture of a cemetery in Puerto Rico by the sea, with people flying kites nearby
