At the end of the day

At the end of the day

A Poem by Summer Grace

Written 2012

The sunset falls through
Stained glass windows of
A mausoleum in May
I’m here with you today
At the end of the day

The sunset goes pale
With twilight, it’s the end
But it’s alright as I stand
In the marble corridor
Of those gone, long before

At the end of the day
Who will think who will
Dream of you with love
With longing, with regret?
Will there be anyone at the end of the day?

The sun is almost gone
It sinks in the too soon twilight
But I know everything is alright
Because I’m with you tonight
At the end of the day
