Cemetery Shadows

Cemetery Shadows

A Poem by Summer Grace

Cemetery shadows cast in the evening
On mausoleum glass the sun is fading
The day is setting the girl is sitting
Time is waiting night is coming

Cemetery Shadows fall slowly
If only, perhaps,- words that
Can be said about the dead
Behind mausoleum glass, at rest

Cemetery shadows in early
Autumn they are all not forgotten
As long she sits here, and wonders
At the stories so near

Cemetery shadows in twilight
It's all right as long as she is sits
And ponders long ago as
The shadows fall long and slow

Cemetery shadows of times
At rest along with their
Peace and happiness
Vanished summer and vanished spring

Cemetery shadows become
Cemetery night as she sits
Here it's all right, there's
No fear, there's only quiet here
