In the dusk

In the dusk

A Poem by Summer Grace

Talking on the love seat
In the dusk, is love gone?
Is moving on the only thing now
Or is something left somehow?

She sits on the love seat
And looks at the darkening
Street he sits on the love seat
And looks away- they loved each other
Yesterday

She looks up through
The dusk and says
The words that she
Must, simply goodbye

He moves closer on
The love seat the tension
Is beyond deep in the
Autumn dusk

She stares at the flowers
On the fabric, he’s still
At it speaking on, she listens
In silence and turns more
Away, they loved each other
Yesterday

This must be inspiration from a true moment in one's life. I hope the dusk was kind. Nicely composed, dear poet.
