After TimeA Poem by Summer Grace
Written March, 2003
Dark years, Dark days filled With fears inlayed with agony The golden years were truly gray Yet golden they live in after time, In memory. Idealize the past when a century's Gone this trouble will be long Past we'll call these years golden Then- when time's gone earth over Everyone reunited with their lost Dreams lost lovers whatever we Will be happy then not knowing anymore It will be perpetual summer then We will not fear the depths of night The facts of day we will melt away Into the grass of summer fields no Vampires demon troubles gone back To hell ghosts as mist in high summer Our only enemy today is time truly Despite how the troubles multiply In my head eclipsing memory because When decades go and days go past When years parade by and hours fly Like summer birds into oblivion once We have survived all the sin all the pain On the plains of another city we'll Be lovers again- © 2014 Summer Grace |
