In the flat field, she was buried. Her life at not been at all peaceful. It had been wild and finally it had ended with her dead of a drug overdose, only in her early thirties. It was assumed to be an accident, she was an addict, after all. She was buried at the memorial park beneath the mountains and left in peace.

In the flat field, in a rural area, the abandoned house stood. Bianca had lived here before she died. It was where she was found dead by her boyfriend, returning from a night at the bars, while she stayed home, not feeling well. It was run down even then. In the ten years that had passed since she died, it was even more run down and now it was going to be to demolished. Bianca and her boyfriend had lived in the house, it had belonged to a elderly family member who had passed on and willed it to Bianca’s mother who had let her live there, as she was more concerned with partying than working a steady job or having a steady income. Her family had somewhat cleaned out the house when she died, but nobody in the family wanted to live there as it was too run down, and selling it or renting it was also impossible, due to that.

Bianca’s sister Kari had decided to look through the house to see if there was anything left of Bianca’s they might want before the crew to demolish the place arrived. She walked up to the door of the house in the flat field, and inside. She walked upstairs to Bianca’s former bedroom and looked through the drawers of a run down bureau that had been left in the place. The family had taken some of her clothes, but not all of them. There was a black, timeless skirt Kari liked. She shook it out from the bureau, deciding to keep it.

Out fell a note. Bianca had written it. Kari opened it up and started to read. It was there in the flat field, in the abandoned house, that Kari found out why her sister was gone and how. But, it was supposed to been an accident. Bianca had seemed happy, except for her addiction. It had, however, been intentional. Kari stared out the window to the flat field.
