Sorrow

Sorrow

A Poem by writingcrazy55555
"

A poem I wrote following a tragedy.

"

A single

tear

runs down

one’s cheek,

dropping into

the pool

of sorrow.

The water

ripples

with memories,

and stories

better to be left

untold.

sorrow hits

you sometimes

when it

is least expected,

but when it

comes knocking,

there’s no way

to stop it.

A death,

a tragedy,

a sudden occurrence

that disturbs

the delicate pool

of sorrow,

which would otherwise

be still,

it’s waters

so clear that

it becomes

a mirror.

When a tear

runs off

one’s cheek,

the image

of one’s face

is disturbed.

It wavers a moment

before giving in

to the sudden

movement,

and it is distorted

until the water

becomes still

again.
