Thither Glory

Thither Glory

A Poem by MEW

Dignity overthrown
Dreams downtrodden
Calibre suppressed down
Destiny,it's unknown

Once the queen sans crown
always raised on her throne
She can't now stand her own
The turbulence of reality
makes her roll down and down

Sweet words once showered on
A crowd to carry her on and on
Now she is trailing alone
ruminating the good days gone

Gazing on the stars up in the sky
her mind always longed to fly
But she can't, doesn't know why
and she knows it's in vain to cry
and shan't remain always wry

She longs to see her past replayed
and everything lost,be regained
Will the fate be kind enough
to lend her a hand thither glory?
