You were gone

And came back

From only one week

You called me

And today night is our date…

I saw you from a long distance

I increased the car speed

I hugged you like I never did

Trust me I felt

Every beautiful thing in the world

I imagined there were just you and me

It was a cold rainy night

When you got into my car

Those calm romantic songs were played

We were romantically talking

Suddenly the devil

Put that dagger in my heart

And I fought with you

About that very silly thing

The car was out of control

I didn’t know what to do …

The next thing I heard

The sound of ambulance

Taking us to the hospital

After 2 days …

I woke up

Badly Sadly

I survived

Cause you DIED

It was my fault

***

I will never forgive my self

For what I’ve done to you

Girl, I loved you

I couldn’t hold anything

I thought I can fix that situation

20 years has gone

And I’m still fixing that car

Having a dream

To have that day again

I want you to be beside

I can’t fix anything

That is what I realized

After 20 years of trying ….

But today I’m enough for trying

I will make my last action in this life

In the same day

To the same place I went

With the same car and music

I was wearing when I was with you

But my tears were flowing

With a smile

Saying that:

“I’m going to meet you today

After 20 years of no touching

And senses or feelings …”

My blood colored the trees

Above your blood mine rested

And I was buried with the same grave …

Written on it:

“20 years no love

Now all my bones will hold yours

And all my body will meet yours

In a non leaving date

I adore you my sweet girl “…

I heard this lines in a movie (i dont know it's title) and then i was inspired to write this poem ...

Awwww.. wah! This is depressing. So heartfelt for me! I felt the ache in my own heart as I was reading this. I loved how you expressed the love and the love that broke.. It also brings me memories of how this happens in reality.. I remember years ago, when I see news of a car crash on tv and how horrible it was. It truely changes someone. Losing someone because of one's fault is something that can't be healed.. I love how the title fits and sums everything in this poem.. "I will follow you." Yeah..that's what most people do when someone dies that we care for. The pain wounds us like no other. I love this poem! It's very endearing. =D Thank you for this poem! Thanks for sharing.

This incidences happen a lot in our country. Road accidents have become a daily thing now in our country. So many have lost their loved ones. And our country lost many talents. This is really sad. Your poem captured that sad story. The pain, the agony of losing someone who is close to you is really hard to heal. It's a nice poem with simplicity and reality. I liked it. Nice work, Suhad. :)
