All I Want For ChristmasA Poem by stars are farAll
I want for Christmas.
I’ve
always heard that song and understood it “All
I want for Christmas is you”... But
who are you? And what are you? …
Gone
with all what have passed in my life Led
me to hell, my everything was hitting me like a spell, And
I wanted to ask my dear Santa for a small thing…
Dear
Santa, listen to me carefully… This
Christmas I want my country to be free I don’t
want to be here anymore, as an outcast, as a wrong one Oh
my country …. I’ve
worn your flag as my identity card And
I saw it all around, in people’s eyes, in friend’s eyes That
hatred that fell like poison into my heart I
have always admired you olive trees, And
your green meadows, You’re
wooden houses and those beautiful lands, My
dear Palestine, I never saw you neither my parents My
ancestors said they will leave you for a day or a week They
died waiting to open their house doors, They
died waiting for that “week” to end, They
just died, And
here we are, holding that dream But
can do nothing to make you free, It’s
been 48 years and they are getting more and more, I want
to smell my land and to kiss its ground, I want
to hug its trees and cry under its wooden houses I
want to go there and be safe forever I want
to be able to speak my tongue without being make fun of I want
to be there, live there… I want peace in my land All
I want is to have you one time Our Palestine… Don’t
want to spend more years as a refugee here I
want to be a person with a land and with a right... All
I want for Christmas is your freedom my love... © 2014 stars are farAuthor's Note
